Hong Kong’s fashion elite braved the rain last Tuesday, 8 November 2011, for a spectacular party under the stars to celebrate the launch of the Shanghai Tang Mongolian Village at the top of Pier 4 in Central.
High profile guests included celebrity models Amanda S, Cara G and Mikki Yao, along with socialite Marisa Zeman and artist Simon Birch, who were entertained by Mongolian artists group Nomad Wave and Mongolian singer Tsgot Tsede, who sang traditional songs throughout the night with DJ remixes.
Having been bumped out of their flagship store on Pedder Street, Shanghai Tang has truly become the ‘Nomad of Central’ with an alternative loft boutique on the sixth floor of Pedder Building as well as an innovative pop-up store at the new Shanghai Tang Mongolian Village with exotic Mongolian Ger tents.
One of the six Mongolian yurts in the Shanghai Tang Mongolian Village can even be booked for private events (either a sit-down dinner for up to 60 guests or a cocktail party for up to 250 people with canapes, champagne and Mongolian vodka.) Check it out from now until 31 December 2011!
