Saboten, one of the largest Tonkatsu chains in Japan with over 500 outlets worldwide, has just opened their first outlet in Hong Kong.
Known for their signature deep-fried breaded pork cutlets, Saboten only uses mature pigs (aged over 180 days), who have juicer and softer meat thanks to their higher fat content. Choose from the dark tenderloin for a lean tonkatsu that's soft to the bite, or the lighter colored loin for a firm, traditional tonkatsu.
The Premium Pork Loin Set (HK$188) comes with Bolivian Rose salt and fresh lemons to make the flavors burst, while the Pork Tenderloin with Radish Set (HK$148) is served with radish paste and tangy grapefruit for a refreshing twist.

The Pork Tenderloin Roll Combo-Hana (HK$148) is also a mouth-watering temptation featuring rolled slice pork filet in three different flavors: Cheese, Asparagus & Bacon and Shiso & Ume. Don't forget to dip the tonkatsu in the Saboten Original sweet sauce, made from scratch using onions, tomatoes, apples and carrots with over 10 different spices.
