If you've been wondering when that long-under-renovation luxury hotel by Pacific Place was going to open, wonder no longer. The Upper House, sister hotel to The Opposite House in Beijing by Swire Hotels, will be unveiled in October.
The hotel will feature 117 rooms, including 21 suites and 2 penthouses, beginning at 730sq feet - the largest in Hong Kong. Bathrooms of over 300sq feet are equipped with walk-in rain showers, dressing area and deep soaking baths.
With Star Street round the corner and Domani next door, The Upper House is raising the dining scene in Admiralty. Cafe Gray Deluxe, a 21st century 'grand cafe' located on the 49th floor overlooking Victoria Harbour will serve unique styles of European classics from celebrated chef Gary Kunz. The restaurant will have a 14metre long open kitchen and equally long bar.
A sky lounge will also occupy the 49th floor with an outdoor lawn on the 6th floor.
With Andre Fu of AFSO behind the architecture, The Upper House will undoubtedly be the place to be - at least for a little while. For those unfamiliar with Andre Fu, he's the design brains behind Azure, Opia and Le Pain Grille Restaurant.
Swire have long been undergoing changes for Pacific Place evident in their recent choice of tenants. And this goes just one step further in revitalizing the area.
