Dror for TUMI: Luxury Luggage That Transforms

New 11-piece collection designed for stylish jetsetters
The fluid lines of the outer shell are naturally designed with the expandable capabilities of the suitcase in mind.

Although traveling is a rewarding and fun experience, there’s one thing about it that we dread the most: packing. Tumi understands our frustrations, and has teamed up with designer Dror Benshetrit to create an innovative collection called Dror for TUMI that will transform the way we travel. Literally.

The genius himself stands with his innovative line of luggage.

New York based Benshetrit, an award-winning designer, has a classic style of designing things in regards to movement, where objects can flip, fold or transform. The line of business bags, hard side cases and soft travel luggage with Tumi do just that, adjusting and converting to more space-conscious and handy baggage.

The backpack not only expands but also transforms into two other bags.

Take the multifunctional backpack (HK$5,480) for example. Its adjustable straps allow you to transform it from an expandable backpack to a stylish tote bag to a professional brief bag. It’s like having three different bags in one.

If you need more room, this suitcase has got you covered.

Another handy piece from the Dror for TUMI collection is the expandable carry-on (HK$8,240). Designed with a "living hinge", this suitcase requires no zippers and instead lets you expand luggage space with a convenient snap, adding up to 45 percent in overall capacity.

This handy bag allows you to store all your travel needs in a pouch or flat bag.

Our favourite piece, though, has to be the smart flat-fold travel kit (HK$1,800). Instead of jamming all of our toiletries and necessities into a bag that has to be squeezed into our luggage, the travel kit opens flat for you to place on top of all your folded clothing. It’s a simple idea, but we’re wondering why nobody has thought of it sooner.

The Dror for TUMI collection will hit stores in early April 2012.
