For Spring/Summer 2011, Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld has designed a special capsule collection for HOGAN. Aimed at Asian (especially Chinese) consumers, the collection features signature HOGAN pieces reinterpreted by Lagerfeld and includes a sophisticated sneaker, cowboy boot, clutch bag, messenger bag, trench coat and jacket.
Using materials like parachute silk, leather, suede and tulle, each item has been given a signature Karl stamp - the trainers feature a feminine ankle bracelet, the cowboy boots feature a wedge sole and the trench coat doubles up as a jumpsuit.
Word is that Karl Lagerfeld was so excited by this collection that he shot and directed his very own short film to showcase the HOGAN by Karl Lagerfeld girl. The film, La Lettre, was filmed in Paris and stars his model muse Baptiste Giabiconi entangled in a love drama with top model Magdalena Frackowiak.
