This season, Karl Lagerfeld has chosen Venice as the setting for Chanel's cruise collection. Lagerfeld says, "This collection mixes all softs of little touches and details that have marked the history of Venice. In a sense, everything that has happened in Venice is represented without actually appearing."
The collection shifts from the stereotypical laidback sailor-stripes to the more romantic flowing dresses with Baroque costume jewellery and Venetian mosaics.
