Weekly Obsession: New Shanghai Tang Bicycles

Luxe bicycles to get you around Hong Kong
Shanghai Tang's menswear designer Armele Barbier was part of the duo behind the concept and design of these bicycles.

This week we've been tempted to ditch our usual means of transport so we can turn heads on Shanghai Tang's limited edition fixed-gear bicycle.

Shanghai Tang's limited edition bicycles were designed in a partnership between Colossi Cycling's Jan Kole and Shanghai Tang's menswear designer Armele Barbier.

The black/orange bike is 153 centimetres tall with a 54 centimetre frame and bullhorn bar.

They decided to design a single-speed bicycle so they could keep to the classic clean and polished lines Shanghai Tang are known for.

We love the strong fashion statement made by the pop of colour featured on the wheels of the black/orange bike and on one wheel of the black/fuschia bike.

The black/fuchsia bike is 165 centimetres tall with a 48 centimetre frame and a straight riser bar.

A tribute to the iconic Chinese black bicycles, the Shanghai Tang's limited edition fixed-gear bicycles not only look great but also give you a reason to get outdoors and do some exercise while you go about your day.

There are two frames available, the black/orange priced at HK$10,800 and the black/fuchsia priced at HK$9,800.
