To celebrate the launch of the new flagship store, MTM has created a new visible brightening treatment to turn dull, lifeless skin into bright and glowing complexions.
Atmosphere: MTM's new 6,000 square-foot flagship store in the World Commerce Centre on Canton Road has 13 spacious and relaxing treatment rooms. The design is calm and soothing, and based on traditional Japanese zen minimalism with natural materials in different shades of grey.
Treatment: As with all treatments at MTM, we first had our skin examined by a therapist in the consultation area to determine exactly what kind of treatment we needed.

Once we got the go ahead for the visible brightening treatment, the treatment began with a deep cleansing, followed by the application of Japanese rice bran extract and plant extract with RF energy to stimulate collagen and instantly brighten the skin.
Next, we had a lymphatic drainage massage where pressure was applied strategically to help stimulate blood circulation and help our skin absorb the essence faster. This was done with a special massage cream blended with antioxidants and detoxifying multi-vitamins to give our skin cells a boost of energy and inhibit melatonin production.
Finally, a collagen mask with vitamin C was applied, followed by a layer of special Solar Shield SPF lotion to protect our skin from UV rays.
Verdict: We could definitely see a difference in our complexion after trying the MTM visible brightening treatment, but a side effect was that we lost several shades off our hard-earned holiday tan. Having said that, for those who are after a brighter, more porcelain-like complexion, this is the treatment for you.
