If you've ever seen an SK-II ad with Cate Blanchett or Tang Wei, you'll know that the Japanese skincare brand champions crystal clear skin with minimal makeup, which is all thanks to their beauty products featuring their miracle essence, Pitera. Now, Pitera has also been incorporated into SK-II's first-ever colour collection featuring a range of colourful eye shadows, blushes, lipsticks, eyeliners and mascaras.
Blending makeup with skincare, the SK-II colour collection features a new "Pitera-in" base, which is patted onto the eye and cheek areas after foundation but before applying eye shadow (HK$430) and blush (HK$430). What this does is create a smooth, supple and natural glow while nourishing the skin with Pitera powder, vitamin E and other skincare ingredients.
The SK-II Colour lipsticks (HK$340) also feature a clear Pitera centre that's surrounded by a layer of creamy lipstick, creating luscious, three-dimensional lips that are infused with vitamin E.
Rounding out the collection are a lengthening mascara (HK$250) featuring Pitera-in, Clear Radiant Complex M, vitamin E and vitamin B5, as well as a liquid eye liner (HK$200) and eye brow liner (HK$200) that is alas, without Pitera but still very good for the skin thanks to SK-II's Clear Radiant Complex E.
We had a chance to try out the new SK-II colour collection and loved how lightweight it felt on our skin, not to mention how it gave our skin that naturally gorgeous look without having to cake it on. Makeup that does our skin good? More, please!
The SK-II Colour collection is available from 1 November 2011 at all SK-II beauty counters in Hong Kong including Lane Crawford, Sogo, Seibu and Harvey Nichols.
