NARS’ Spring 2011 collection is all about minimalism, using fresh, forward colours and jeweled earth tones with a metallic finish. Creative Director Francois Nars describes the colour palette as “rich and modern with bright colours”, much like what can be seen in nature as spring is approaching.
Our top picks from the collection include the limited edition CALANQUE Trio Eyeshadow (HK$380), featuring a trio of sun-washed shades – gold-infused platinum with silver flecks, light matte caramel and rich antique bronze that can be mixed and matched or worn alone.
We also love the CELEBRATE Soft Touch Shadow Pencil (HK$240) in parrot green can be used as a base for layering or to enhance colour intensity.
For lips, there’s the fun, peachy-pink, gold-flecked SUPER ORGASM Lipgloss (HK$220) or MADÈRE Pure Matte Lipstick (HK$260) in nude pink for longwearing colour and a comfortable finish.
Lastly, we can’t wait to get our hands on the limited edition DESPERADO Nail Polish (HK$160) in a gorgeous antique brass hue.
