Adding onto La Prairie's original Life Threads series of fragrances, this year, the luxury brand has created a new set of three scents around the emotional mosaics of gems.
Sapphire in early times was believed to be the firmament in which the earth was embedded and so the scent evokes a spa experience on an idyllic island. Notes of dewy gardenia and sea jasmine induces quiet meditation.
Ruby on the other hand is the colour of love and is associated with passion and power. It is full of Spanish saffron, ylang-ylang and jasmine absolute.
Emerald is all about seduction and celebrates natures self-replenishing self. The scent has notes of Bulgarian rose, lilac, Indian jasmine that lingers to reveal iris, sandalwood, oakmoss and pure amber.
Each bottle is 50ml and is priced at HK$900.
