Make your next happy hour pop with Veuve Clicquot’s Yellow Hours

There may be no finer way to celebrate the end of the work day than with fine champagne, delicious bites and good company — l’aperitif, as the French call it.  You may know it better as happy hour, so called because it really is the happiest time of day, at least when it’s done right. No doubt you’ve experienced your fair share of lacklustre happy hours — watered-down drinks, bad food, long waits — but starting now, you’ll never have to endure those again.

The prestigious champagne house Veuve Clicquot has brought an exciting new happy hour series to Hong Kong. From 15 March to 31 December, Yellow Hours will ensure that you always have great afterwork options at some of the city’s finest restaurants, where you can enjoy creative snacks with glasses of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label. To keep things fresh, the theme of Yellow Hours will change every couple of months to introduce new bites at different restaurants around town.

The first phase of this new programme, which is called Pop Clicquot, features 14 partnering restaurants that have introduced unique dishes made with the key ingredient of popcorn (available now through 30 April), all of which will be served with a glass of champagne. Highlights include FoFo by El Willy’s foie gras bikini sandwich with popcorn and tomato chilli jam (HK$148), Catalunya’s popcorn bon bon (HK$180), Shore’s spicy chicken popcorn (HK$130), and F.A.B.’s bacon and parmesan-flavoured popcorn (HK$188). (You’ll find the full list of participating restaurants below.)

Of course, happy hour memories are best shared, so be sure to post your favourite moments on social media with the hashtag #YellowHour. In fact, we’ll make this even more fun for you. From now through 30 April, share photos on Instagram of your Yellow Hours at one of the 14 participating venues, and we’ll give away a magnum of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label for the three best posts. To be eligible, all you have to do is follow @veuveclicquot.hk and use #YellowHour on your Instagram posts.
